English as a Second Language Development introduces students to basic, intermediate, and advanced grammatical structures and vocabulary of the English Language, through the skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
The goal of the program is for the student to be capable of using the English language effectively in a variety of social settings as well as in a formal academic setting.
Curriculum:
Students will receive support and strategies in order to further increase their, reading, listening and pronunciation skills in able to function proficiently in social situations as well as learning challenging academic content through curriculum.

Tutoring will be offered Monday and Tuesday from 2:15-3:15 or during lunch. Please contact me to schedule a tutoring session. If you miss a day of class, please schedule a tutoring session so that you can make up classroom work.
Assessments:
Assessment strategies will include testing, quizzes, classwork, homework and other assessment strategies. Grading will follow the standard percentage grading levels.
Student Expectations:
If the student does not follow behavior expectations, he or she will have a verbal warning for their first offense, teacher/student and parent conference for their second offense and office referral/ parent contact for their third offense.
Materials: Students should bring a three ring binder, loose-leaf paper, pencil, and a highlighter to class every day.
